Shinnock (also known as Foxville) is, or rather, appears to be a small town between Lakanaba and Ballymoral in Dragon Quest IV. It is, in fact, an illusion created by foxes to entice travelers to stay there indefinitely.
An architect, Archie O'Tect, is tricked by a fox disguised as a beautiful woman into staying in the town. He is needed to repair the bridge connecting Ballymoral and Endor, and Torneko brings a dog to dispel the illusion and free him.
