The Skeleton swordsman is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in Dragon Quest III.

Characteristics

A sextuple-armed menace, the Skeleton swordsman engages in the unscrupulous act of skeleton modification by augmenting itself with the amputated limbs of its fallen enemies. Having gained newfound dexterity, it puts it to devastating effect by cutting the whole party's defense in half with Kasap before eviscerating an unlucky sucker all in one turn.

A Skeleton swordsman is faced in the boss battle with the Headless honcho, along with a Skelegon, a Chasmonaut, and a Vicious grim gryphon. In the 3DS version and the 2D mode of the Definitive Edition, four Chasmonauts fight alongside the Headless honcho instead.
