Since its introduction in the first game, the Slime has expanded beyond its beginnings as a simple drop of goo. This expansion in its ever-growing state is what has come to form the Slime family of monsters.

Members

Behemoth Slime
A giant version of the Slime.
Beshemoth Slime
A giant version of the She-Slime.
Bubble Slime (Babble)
A green poisonous melted Slime.
Dark Slime
A black and stronger version of the Slime with bat wings and a pointed tail.
Dragon Slime (Drakslime)
A winged like-reptilian version of the Slime.
Gold Slime
A slime shaped like a top or jewel.
Grandpa Slime
A highly intelligent Slime, appearing only in Dragon Quest Monsters 2 and and later Monsters games.
Heal Slime (Healer)
Floating Slime that can cast healing spell to allies. Advanced specimens are called Cure Slimes.  The first boss of Dragon Warrior Monsters.
King Cureslime
Green version of the King Slime. Can cast Omniheal in one turn.
King Slime
A bigger, fatter and stronger version of the Slime wearing a crown. It is created during battle by regular Slimes merging.
Liquid Metal Slime (Metabble)
A metal version of the Bubble Slime. Have similar ability to Metal Slime but are stronger, have more HP and defense, and give more EXP.
Marine Slime
A Slime who live inside a conch shell underwater.
Metal King Slime (MetalKing)
A metal version of the King Slime. Have abilities similar to Metal Slimes and Liquid Metal Slimes but are stronger, have more defense and HP, and give more EXP.
Metal Slime (Metaly)
A Slime made of metal. Gives high EXP to any player who can defeat it but it has high defense, often able to dodge or run away.
Metal Slime Knight
A metal version of the Slime Knight. Contrary to other "Metal" versions, it does not have high defense, run away, or give high EXP.
Platinum King Jewel (PlatKing)
A platinum version of the Gold Slime.
She-Slime (Red Slime)
Is called a She-Slime because of the lip but the gender is unknown. Slightly stronger than the Slime.

A team made up of three Slime. Appears only in Dragon Quest VIII.

A winged version of the Slime.
