The thorn whip (called the Spiny whip in the GBC version) has an attack bonus of +18. It can be equipped by the Hero, Mages, Thieves, Gadabouts, and sages. It can be purchased in shops for 320 gold in the NES version, but in remake versions of the game, it is obtained by turning in 5 mini medals to the medal collector in Aliahan. It can also be sold for 240 gold coins.
