Games for Microsoft Windows can be classified if they are played via Steam or not.
For Steam, four Dragon Quest installments have been released, as of Jan 2020:
- Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below
- Dragon Quest Heroes II
- Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
- Dragon Quest Builders 2
One non-Steam game is there: Dragon Quest X , an MMO installment.
Disadvantage to Japan
Although Dragon Quest games are from Japan, three out of the total four Steam ports cause some trouble to Japan. They can't be purchased if you live in Japan, and/or the Japanese environments are reduced from the original versions (or completely removed). This is an example of the notorious "omakuni" custom.[1]
