Name translation
In the original NES version of Dragon Quest IV, Borya was known as Brey. It should be noted that (like other names) the Dragon Warrior IV version (ironically) stays truer to the original japanese Dragon Quest IV, while Plus Alpha makes up names for no good reason in the DS version. They also give accents where they need not be, change names of places (Like in Dragon Quest IX, they change "Temple of Dharma" to Alltrades Abbey), and other references to places in prior Dragon Quest games.
In the original NES version of Dragon Quest IV, Borya was known as Brey. It is notable that this name translation stays truer to the original Japanese Dragon Quest IVPlus Alpha's more recent translation of the game for the Nintendo DS took many more liberties with the original translation, adding things such as regional accents and other small changes. Thus the name 'Borya' is not quite the same name as in the original Japanese version of the game.
