byuu was a rom-hacker/translator who completed one of the translations of Dragon Quest V into English.
byuu and De-jap simutaneously released separate patches for Dragon Quest V on December 7, 2001. While byuu's patch favors literal translations, De-jap/Partial Translations' script mostly follows Dragon Warrior conventions and is believed to be much better edited.
