The goomulonimbus is a new species of slimes first seen in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. These sneaky slimes summon thunderstorms and gales from the comfort of their cloud.

Etimology
Their design and Japanese name are clear references to Raijin (the god of thunder) and Fūjin (the god of wind) from the Shinto religion.
As these deities are not as well known in the West, their English name makes reference to the kind of dense cloud they are usually riding, a cumulonimbus.
