The Liege lizard is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest X. It is a species of tri-tailed, bipedal dragons. They stand head and shoulders above most of their brethren, being some of the most powerful members of the dragon family.

First appearing in this game, they can throw a Blistering Inferno and attack regularly. When they are killed, they drop Big Scales and a recipe for the Cautery sword.
