The Mischievous mole is a monster in the series.
Characteristics
Mischievous moles are bipedal, grey mole monsters armed with a wooden shovel in one hand and a glaring gaze etched on their faces, as well as wearing light grey gloves. Starting with Dragon Quest VIII, they gained the ability to psyche themselves up to deal powerful blows with their shovels.

Dragon Quest X
Mischievous mole appeared from the beginning of the game. They are able to Muster Strength, but will also flee from battle when threatened. In Version 2.0, mischievous mole were one of the original ten monsters that could be tamed by Monster Wranglers. Starting with Version 5.0, vicious mischievous moles can be encountered in the Netherworld. They still continue to muster their strength, but no longer flee.

The Mischievous mole is one of three potential starting monsters along with the Dracky and Platypunk.

Dragon Quest Tact
The Mischievous mole appears as a F-rank monster of the Beast family that can be scouted from several levels in Chapters 2, 8, and 12 of the main storyline, as well as the Tuskateer Armour stages from The Beastliest Beast in Bravas Qualifiers of the Beast Fest at any difficulty. The mischievous mole can participate in the Brownie and Trap box's Battle Roads as a party member.
