The Drag-goof is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest V, it is deranged-looking dragon.

Characteristics

The Drag-goof is an awkward-looking dragon, particularly its head, an over-sized affair backed with four large horns and a face which consists of four large whiskers, widely spaced eyes looking off in opposite directions, and an open-mouthed grin that shows off its gums and gaped teeth. It has a somewhat prominent belly, small wings and forelimbs, and a thick, spiked tail. The dragon's scales are primarily blue in colour with a yellow-white underbelly. They are able to perform violent grabbing attacks despite their short arms. Although the drag-goof has not reappeared in the main series, it has made regular appearances in spinoff games.
