Fissure is an ability in the Dragon Quest series. It attempts to open up a chasm to send enemies to their doom.

Fissure is learned by advancing to Rank 5 of the Sage vocation. The skill is independent of the whack family of spells and skills, instead possessing a flat 25% chance to kill non-metal and non-boss monsters that are not flying.
