A boss version of Gigalumph is faced at the very top of the Highendreigh Tower in the present. In the 3DS version of the game, the boss is named Galumph, but it is clearly intended to be a Gigalumph.

[[Woolly Blanket]] is essential in lessening the damage as well as armor that protects against cold. Spells other than [[Sizz]] and [[Bang]] work well against it and [[Sap]] is highly recommended since it has no resistance against it. [[Wing-Clipper]] and [[Flying Knee]] will also be very helpful against Galumph since it is a flying enemy.
