The Halberdsaurus is a recurring Monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest X .
It is a more powerful, black-scaled variant of the Hacksaurus.

Halberdsauruses are polearm-wielding crosses between tyrannosaurid dinosaurs and a European dragons. They have black scales, orange undersides, small wings on their back with orange membrane, and the frills on their head change colors from orange to teal. Etymology
Its Japanese name Tomahōgā is based on tomahawk, a type of single-handed axe used by various indigenous peoples of North America, while its English name is based on halberd, a two-handed pole weapon that consists of an axe blade topped with a spike mounted on a long handle that saw heavy use in medieval Europe.
