The Jawtoise is a monster that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest VII. It can be found in the Sunken Citadel in the past and Coral Cave in the past and present. The Jawtoise has a rare chance of dropping a Jawtoise Heart, allowing one party member to become a Jawtoise when it is taken to Alltrades Abbey.
Characteristics
Strange sea dwelling reptiles with the hardy shell and body of an ancient tortoise and the ripping teethy jaws and strong tail of a crocodile, ready to tear into any unfortunate prey it decides to pounce on. Their massive maws never close, constantly ready to snap and snip at any enemy. They swim with surprising agility through the open ocean, stunning sailors with their acrobatic back flips that are capable of slicing through a whole group of sea exploring adventurers.
