Persistence (Soo in prior localizations) is a village in the overworld of Dragon Quest III. It is located in the area of the world map corresponding to North America, and, as such, the village has a Native American theme. There is no required reason to visit Persistence, but there are clues given within the village as to the whereabouts of the Bottomless pot.
A man who lived in the village left long ago to start a town in the east field, corresponding to the real life Jamestown colony.
