Its most well-known usage is on the classical pillars of ancient Rome and Greece, which the Prancing pillar is modeled after.

The Prancing pillar is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII. It can found in El Monumento de Pomposo as a forced battle and regularly in the World's Tallest Tower.

Characteristics

Massively monstrous powerful pillars that ambush adventurers, waving their flaming fiery sconces that they swing to sear opponents with.
