| Type | Debilitating |

Characteristics
This spell tries to remove a single enemy in battle, and if successful then no Experience Points or gold will be counted for the expelled monster at the end of combat. The spell's relationship to Poof is similar to that of Snooze and Kasnooze, being the higher-tier spell that is more accurate.
Appearances
Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation
Blasto can be learned by Priests and Sages at Level 20, costing 7 MP to cast. If any characters are hit by the spell, they will wind up back at Patty's Party Planning Place in Aliahan, though the Hero is immune to the spell until Zoma is defeated in remake versions. On the enemy side, it can be cast by Hades condors, Phoenixes, Crone rangers, Great trolls, Baramos, and the Soul of Baramos.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
Bazoom is learned by Priests and Sages at level 20. Enemies expelled by it will not yield experience points or gold, but Thieves still have a chance to steal from them. Any party members banished by the spell will now automatically regroup once battle is over although they will not get any EXP for the fight. As a result, the Hero is no longer immune to Bazoom.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
Bazoom is learned by advancing to either Rank 6 as a Armamentalist or rank 3 as a Sage, costing 8 MP to cast. It has a low rate of success, using a 50%, 20%, 10%, and 0% success rate ratio instead of the typical 100%, 85%, 50%, 0% used by nearly all status-inflicting spells and abilities in VI. This rate is shared with Poof. On the enemy side, it can be cast by Gryphons and War gryphons.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
Bazoom utilises the same success rate and cost as in the previous game and is once again learned by reaching rank 6 of the Armamentalist and, in the Nintendo 3DS version, it can also be learned by advancing to rank 4 as a Hero.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Blasto is an enemy-only spell cast by Garudas, Hades condors, Gryphons, Dark condors, Elysium birds, and Phoenixes to eject the player's monster team if they are called into battle. Monsters that have this spell will typically cast it the first turn after Call Team has been used.
Dragon Quest Tact
Bazoom can be learned by Elysium bird at level 26 and costs 24 MP to use. It has a range of three squares in front of it and sends the target backwards up to five spaces. Upgrading the spell reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast.

Trivia
- The spell's Japanese name Bashiruura (バシルーラ, Bashiruura?) is derived from Ruura, the Japanese name for the Zoom spell. The meaning behind this is that Zoom is being cast on the user's enemies, hence the total removal from battle. According to the Dragon Quest Monsters + manga, the spell generates enough force to break through walls and ceilings to expel the target or warps space to teleport the victim away from the caster.
