Carnivine

The Carnivine is a monster in the series.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Carnivines are plant monsters with three flower-like "heads" that are filled with razor-sharp fangs. The body of a carnivine is arranged in three layers, with the bottom composed of its leg-like roots, the middle being made of a circle of large, green leaves, and the top holding its three white, fanged flowers, connected to the leafy section by flexible stems. Its name is a combination of "carnivore", a being that eats meat, with "vine", a tendril-like component found on some plants.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The monster shares its name, possibly by coincidence, with a Pokémon.
  • Carnivines also bear a thematic similarity to the Piranha Plants of Super Mario fame, though they lack the tropical coloring and mottled appearance.
