Characteristics[edit | edit source]
A skill where a large monster like a dragon swings their massive body and tail to unleash an attack that target a group of enemies.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
Tail Swing first appeared as an enemy-only skill that could be used by monsters like Black dragon, Crocodog, the Dragonlord, Frou-frou, Great Argon lizard, Great dragon, Heligator, and Rashaverak. It deals a large amount of damage to characters in a radius around the user. In some cases, the attack can be dodged by jumping at the right time.
- Starting with Version 7.0, it is one of the skills that a Dragomancer can use in their Puff! form. It deals five times the amount of damage as a normal attack to any enemies in a radius of fifteen meters around the user and has a chance to knock them down, as well. Tail Swing has a cooldown of 25 seconds.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit | edit source]
Tail Swing is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Black dragon, Great dragon, Lord Dragon, Nelgelas, and Night clubber. It deals 70~80% of their normal attack damage to the entire party. When used, the in-game text states that the monster "swings their terrible tail!".
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius[edit | edit source]
Known as Shocktail in this game, it is the Limit Burst of the Great dragon. It deals 7.6x physical damage to all enemies and decreases their DEF by 40% for three turns, up to a maximum of 11x physical damage and a DEF reduction of 60% once it is fully upgraded.
