Etymology
The original name is composed of two parts, hashiri (Japanese for sticks?) and tokage (lizard).
The word Podokesaurus comes from Ancient Greek and it means fleet-footed lizard. It describes a member of the Coelophysoidea that lived during the early Jurassic.
