Hootingham-Gore was originally a human, but he was transformed into an owl-like monster upon his resurrection. His head is actually able to separate from the rest of his body and spin like an owl, such as when he casts spells, and he has small wings on the side of his head, as well. He has striking yellow eyes and his feathers are white and pale green.
He wears a set of golden armour, covered by a long violet robe with golden details and a white and red diamond pattern on the sleeves. On his face, he wears golden and purple jewelry and on top of his head, he wears a spiked, golden skullcap. He carries a gnarled wooden staff with golden metallic decorations and an purple orb at the top of it and decorated with red feathers. Among the Triumgorate, Hootingham-Gore is the most adept when it comes to spellcasting.
Hootingham-Gore appears as a boss in the game starting with Version 4.2 on July 12th, 2018, and has more abilities and spells, such as Tempest, in addition to summoning 2 Bad Karmours with Call Servants. Due to the game's 3D nature, his head now turns around like a real-life owl. He can also be fought alongside Gorehamm-Hogg and Goresby Purrvis starting on July 11, 2019, which is also the 10th anniversary of his debut game.
One of the Triumgorate of the Gittish Empire, this man-beast boasts an owl's head. Unforgiving by disposition, he will not permit even the slightest error by his troops.
Hootingham-Gore first appeared as an unplayable boss in the original Dragon Quest IX event, alongside the rest of the Triumgorate. In the Japanese version, he became playable during the True Dragon Quest IX event, as a S-rank monster of the Beast family.
