Leger-de-man
The leger-de-man is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation.

They are evil humans who sold their souls for power and have begun to serve demon lords, using their magic to kill adventurers.
Characteristics edit
Leger-de-men resemble prestidigitators in shape, wearing light green robes with white belts tied around their waists. They have red hands and red eyes glowing from their hoods. They have mastered many spells, making them formidable opponents even against experienced adventurers. The evil mages returned after a nearly 30 year absence from the series in XI along with the rest of their sorcerous brothers. They were originally depicted with four fingers on their hands like many other humanoid monsters, but in modern appearances they now have five fingers on each hand.
