Appearances edit

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King edit

GameDescription

Intriguingly, and in spite of its name, this hat boasts absolutely no special magical properties.[1]

The Magical hat has a Defence bonus of +25 and can only be worn by Jessica, as well as Red in the Nintendo 3DS version. It can be purchased at Argonia once the bazaar starts and Arcadia for 2,700 gold and sold for 2,000 gold. Despite its name, it has no magical properties to speak of in this game. One can be found in Argonia Castle's treasure room in a chest that can be opened with the Magic key after the events at the Royal Hunting Grounds. It can be dropped rarely by Dark slimes, Mucho machos, and Grim riders. The hat can be mixed in the Alchemy Pot to create other pieces of equipment.
