The Metal slime earrings are a recurring accessory in the Dragon Quest series. It is a variant of the Slime earrings and part of a series of items modeled after a Metal slime.

Dragon Quest VIII (remake only) edit
The metal slime earrings have an agility bonus of +5, reduce damage taken by 25%, and can be equipped by all characters. They can be sold for 20,000 gold, but it is not recommended to do so as only one pair can be acquired in the game.
Dragon Quest X edit
The metal slime earrings have a defence and a style bonus of +3. They were given through a special promotional campaign with the Japanese convenience store Lawson.
Dragon Quest of the Stars edit
The metal slime earrings are a 4-star accessory that have a defence bonus of +4 and increase maximum HP by 5.
Dragon Quest Walk edit
The metal slime earrings are a 3-star accessory that has a magical might bonus of +6 and a magical mending bonus of +5.
Trivia edit
- The metal slime earring is available as a piece of ear equipment in Square Enix's MMORPG Final Fantasy XI as a special cross-promotional event with Dragon Quest X in 2013. Many other Slime-themed pieces of equipment could be obtained, as well.
- Metal slime earrings also appear as an accessory in the mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius as a cross-promotional event with Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light. They can be received as a Super Trust Master Reward from a Slime companion.
