Trivia edit

  • The wizardly whip's Japanese name, Calbero Bute (カルベロビュート, Karubero byūto?), is named after Calberona, the Japanese name for the city of Sorceria. Although it has made appearances in other games, it has maintained the same name and is even referenced in the flavour text for the whip in IX. The word "bute" is believed to be a reference to the Red Bute, a whip that is wielded by the Akaranger Tsuyoshi Kaijo from the Japanese live-action Super Sentai series, Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. The word has appeared in the name of whips in other Japanese video games, such as Final Fantasy.
