Salt of the earth can be dropped by Slimes, She-slimes, and Agoomulators. It can be used to create Gold rings and Scholar's specs in the Alchemy Pot. Three pinches of salt of the earth are required to complete Quest #52: Belle of the Bowl.

Salt of the earth is a phrase which traces its origin to the Book of Matthew of the New Testament from the Greek τὸ ἅλας τῆς γῆς (to halas tēs gēs). It can be used to describe a person that is decent, dependable, and unpretentious.
