The Shadow in Memoriam (追憶のシャド Tsuioku no shado) is a monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. It is a more powerful variant of the Shadow appearing as the eleventh boss in Memories Lane alongside Evil Jessica in Memoriam.

Characteristics

Hailing from another dimension, these ephemeral facsimiles of demonic silhouettes are once again called upon by the power of the royal sceptre in Memories Lane. Six Shadows in Memoriam can appear on the battlefield at the same time, making it beneficial to eliminate them swiftly before they overwhelm the party.
