The Shelligator is a monster in the remakes of Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen and debuted in Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past.

It is a literal take on the Alligator Snapping Turtle variety of terrapins, being a sea turtle with a crocodillian head.

Characteristics

Shiny green reptiles with a reputation for their ripping bites and solid shells. These odd shaped oceanic monsters have also been known to summon great waves of water to crash over entire parties of their enemies.
