The Staff of Rain (Rain Staff) is an essential item in Dragon Quest and Dragon Quest III. It is required in both games in order to receive the Rainbow Drop.

Dragon Quest

The staff is held by a man in the Shrine West of Kol. He will trade the staff for the Silver Harp.
