Mule
Mule (がんこもの Gankomono, translated as stubborn in the Game Boy Color version of Dragon Quest III) is a personality in the Dragon Quest III remakes, in Dragon Quest X, and in Dragon Quest: Monster Parade.

In the Dragon Quest III remakes, mule is a personality that improves resilience growth, but reduces agility, wisdom and luck growth.
At the start of the game, the hero becomes a mule by receiving the final test of character in the cave. The hero must follow all the signs and leave the cave.
Other party members have a chance to be a mule when recruited as any class, depending on their stat bonuses.
An existing character can temporarily become a mule by wearing the ten ton toupee accessory.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit | edit source]
The mule personality increases strength by 5%, increases resilience by 20%, decreases agility by 40%, increases stamina by 20%, decreases wisdom by 20%, and decreases luck by 30%. Any character can become a mule by equipping the ten ton toupee.
