The flame shield has a defence bonus of +70, and protects against fire and ice attacks.

Dragon Quest VI

The Metal King Shield in Dragon Quest VI has +70 defense and +38 style. It also protects against Death and Status Effects.

Dragon Quest VIII

The metal king shield has a defence bonus of +65. All characters can equip this shield.

Recipe: Ruinous shield + Saint's ashes + Orichalcum
