Barbarus

Barbarus is a large black dragon that is allied with the Gittish Empire in Dragon Quest IX.

Game description: Greygnarl's nefarious nemesis. He was defeated long ago, but the Empire brought him back to wreak havoc once more.

Guide description: He and Greygnarl once formed a duality of darkness and light, but his memory of this beneficial balance has been obliterated.
