Blast Slash
Blast Slash is a skill introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. It enchants the practitioner's weapon with the power of an explosive blast for a single attack.

Blast Slash costs 4 MP to use and strikes a single enemy with an attack using 130% of the user's normal attack. It can be learned from:
- Bang & Crack III (26 points)
- Bang & Woosh III (26 points)
- Bang & Zam III (25 points)
- Bang & Zap III (25 points)
- Bombardier (65 points)
- Boom Boxer (80 points)
- Cluboon II (33 points)
- Firewind Slashes (100 points)
- Frizz & Bang III (40 points)
- Iceplosion Slashes (100 points)
- Über Dark Dynamiter (31 points)
- Über Knight (16 points)

Blast Slash can be learned from all the skills it could be in the previous game, though the point requirements for Firewind Slashes and Iceplosion Slashes have changed. It can now be learned from:
- Bang & Sizz III (26 points)
- Firewind Slashes (80 points)
- Iceplosion Slashes (80 points)
Dragon Quest Tact
Blast Slash can be learned by Restless armour at level 16, Royal reptile at level 31, Skeleton soldier and Tuskateer at level 32, and Living statue at level 42. It costs 17 MP to use and inflicts 180% Bang-type physical damage to one enemy. Blast Slash can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
