Mera

Frizz (Japanese:　メラ (mera), localized as Blaze in older games) is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series. It is a low-level spell that is often initially known by mages and mage-like characters. Being a low-level spell, Frizz does very little damage and targets only a single enemy. Although Frizz is cost-effective in terms of MP, its low damage output makes it a spell that is rarely used, even in early stages of the game, as the caster's physical attacks can usually do just as much damage with a weapon equipped.
