Cautery sword
The cautery sword is a recurring sword in the Dragon Quest series. If used as a tool in battle in earlier games it would cast Sizz on a group of enemies; later games have kept the spitfire trait while changing the damage ranges.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
The cautery sword has an attack bonus of +45. It can be purchased in Mostroferrato, Stockenbarrel, Helmunaptra, and Battenburg for 4,400 gold. The Hero and his son can equip it.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
The cautery sword has an attack bonus of +42 and a style bonus of +23. When used as an item, it casts Sizz. It can be bought for 4,400 gold in Alltrades Abbey, Ghent, and Scrimsley, or sold for 3,300 gold. The Hero, Milly, Amos, Terry, Lizzie, and Goowain can equip it.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
The cautery sword has an attack bonus of +42 and a style of +23. It can be purchased in various shops for 5,400 gold and can be equipped by the Hero, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe.
