Britney is a character from Dragon Quest Builders 2. She is a soldier on the island of Furrowfield.

Appearance and Personality

Britney is based on Japanese gal fashion, having dark skin, bleached blonde hair, heavy eyeliner, and making heavy use of slang terms when speaking. Her eyes are a shade of dark grey and her hair is tied back in two pigtails with blue hairties. She wears the typical guard's garb of a yellow-horned blue helmet striped yellow in the middle with five raised circular bumps, and a matching long blue sleeveless tunic with open sides and a similar yellow vertical stripe running down the center. The front and back sides of her tunic are connected by brown straps at her shoulders and at her hips. Underneath she wears a white, long-sleeved, baggy turtleneck jumpsuit. Her gloves are orange and her boots are brown with grey cuffs and metal caps.

Britney is a bubbly, perpetually cheerful girl who quickly makes friends with the Builder after being given a simple sword as a gift. Though very laid back, she takes her duties seriously and will fight any monster that wanders into the town she is protecting without a second thought. She is also a lover of food, shouting in joy whenever a recipe is prepared in her vicinity.

Britney is encountered on the island of Furrowfield, taking shelter in an abandoned windmill above an ant's nest after being attacked by monsters and her cypress stick broke in half. She wants to use the nearby anvil to make herself a new weapon but the threatening influence of the Children of Hargon renders her hesitant. Instead, she cries out loud to whoever listens that she would trade her wheat seeds for a replacement. When given another cypress stick by the Builder she asks incredulously where they got it and is shocked to learn that not only did they make it but that they are also a builder. She remarks that she should do what the Children say and destroy the village now that she has a working weapon, but the group is then swiftly attacked by a hive's worth of iron ants. After fending them all off, she asks the Builder why they had come to the windmill, and is again shocked to learn that they are looking for wheat seeds to rebuild Furrowfield farm, commenting that they would "get some, like, divine retribution for all this" and that the Master of Destruction would seriously smite them. However, she reconsiders her stance on creation, taking into account that the weapon they made her was quite useful, and begins to doubt the cult. She finally gives the Builder the wheat seeds she promised earlier, introduces herself and heads back to the farm with them in interest of what the seeds might grow into.

When she arrives, she gapes in awe of the Deitree and the farming setup. While she wants to help, she knows she is "more of a breaker than a builder", so she volunteers to protect Furrowfield while the farming community is being restored. She recants her faith completely, vowing to become an ally of the Builder, and is enthusiastic of finally being able to tell the "weirdos in their stuffy old robes" (Pastor Al and the prestidigitators) where they can stick their stupid rules". Pastor Al tells her that her words were quite bold and asks threateningly if she would still be so brave when the Master of Destruction shatters her arms and armour into a thousand pieces. In turn she cries out and calls him a stuffy-robed weirdo.

Caring about the villagers (and wanting to get rid of the stench) (and her skin's health), she suggests that a public bath be built. When the blueprint is complete, she is overjoyed, but adds at the end that the Builder should not be perverted and ensures that they don't even think about peeping at anyone.

After the events of the island are completed and the farming community is restored, Britney requests to travel with the Builder to the Isle of Awakening.
