The Rotten apple is a monster in the series.

Characteristics edit

Rotten apples are monocular red apples that have come to life and have a mouth filled with razor-sharp fangs. They are able to cast simple wind magic, but due to their lack of magic power, they can only cast it a single time. Though unremarkable in battle as a foe, the rotten apple is considered one of the best monster recruits early in the second generation of Dragon Quest V.
