Mudslinger (monster)

Dragon Quest monster
Mudslinger
	; Art by Akira Toriyama
Japanese	マッドロン
Romaji	Mudron
First appearance	Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
Old localisation	Mudron
Variants	Marine spirit; Water wraith

Characteristics edit

Mudslingers are odd, Humanoid creatures that live underground, bursting out to cause chaos for unaware adventurers by flinging thick mud. Brown with spiny sharp shoulders and mud spouting from their antennae, they have a deadly Whack spell that catches foes off guard by instantly knocking them out.

Some players have speculated that the species could be related to the Muddy hands due to sharing an elemental theme, colouration, and being classified as Undead monsters, but this has never been alluded to in official media.
