The Funghoul is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest III , it is a dim-witted mushroom monster utterly dedicated to pestering players with peculiar pollen.
Characteristics
Funghouls are spotted, red-capped mushrooms with stalks thick enough to serve as a face and body. They have stubby arms, small feet, sad, yellow eyes, and a fanged mouth with tongue lolling out.

Funghouls are Rank F nature monsters that can be found on the Spirit Road. They occasionally drop a Punchshroom as a treasure item.
Funghoul appears as an E-rank monster of the Nature family . It can be recruited from Chapters 5-7, 7-1, 9-2, 14-1, 14-3, and 14-6 of the main storyline. The funghoul can participate in Stump chump and Crabid 's Battle Roads as a party member.
