The Gyrogre is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest VII. It is a muscular ogre warrior wielding a double-ended flail.
Characteristics
Gyrogres are grizzled purple-skinned stony faced, short ogres, standing steady and stocky with massive iron balls on chains, ready to swing and sling straight at any foes they face. Their bushy white beards and grey messy hair hide a mean attitude and a wicked skill with flinging their flails, with enough strength to deal desperate damage and critical crushing blows. The harness on their chests is green, designed as a strength belt to support their backs with the massive weighty weapon they wield. They wear a red cape, orange briefs and boots with red socks, to round out a truly strange and stylish outfit.
