Dragonlord

The Dragonlord is the main antagonist of Dragon Warrior. Originally, he is an unhappy man of Alefgard who dwells in a cave. One day he explored deeper into his cave and found a dragon. He was more astonished when he found he could control the beast. From this point on, he was known as the Dragonlord. Eventually, he moved to Charlock Castle and attacked Tantegel Castle and stole the Ball of Light. He also kidnapped Princess Gwaelin and set one of his dragons to guard her. At the end of the game, the Hero must defeat his human form first. He then transforms into his dragon form. If the hero defeats him in his dragon form than he will restore peace to all of Alefgard. In Dragon Warrior II a somewhat more friendly descendant of the Dragonlord resides in Charlock castle.
