The Dreadful drackal is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VI. This fearsome magic beast is a stronger variant of the Drackal with red fur.

Characteristics

Red-furred furious raging beasts that rip and nip at foes with nasty fangs. They have solid, evil-looking white eyes and tufts of yellow hair all over their bodies. Their roar is so ferocious that it can strike fear into party members, causing them to waste precious time and turns in battle. These drackals also have a tendency to violently slam their bodies into their opponents at the cost of their own health.

Description		They might look frightening, but they're scaredy-cats really. If their bark doesn't scare people stiff, their bite surely will. When two of them meet at night, both will howl so loud with surprise that they scare each other into a sociable stupour.

Quest #74: Mr. Whippy's Wish requires the player to defeat a Dreadful drackal, along with a Drastic drackal, with a simple attack from a Leather whip.
