Platinum mail

Platinum Mail is an armor equipment item in the Dragon Quest series.

Appearances

Dragon Quest VI

This armor may be won in either of the game's casinos, and can be found in Howcastle. It provides +66 defense, +51 style, and negates 15 points of magical damage. It can be worn by the Hero, Terry, Carver, Lizzie, Amos, and Goowain.

Dragon Quest VIII

The platinum mail has a defence bonus of +72. Only the Hero and Angelo can wear it. The mail can be obtained through mixing Zombie mail and Saint's ashes through alchemy or a random chest drop from a Hell gladiator. It can be sold for 4,900 Gold Coins.
