Characteristics

Red raging giant scorpions that sting and swipe adventurers with their massive barbed beastly tails. Despite the venom stashed in their stinging tails, they never actually poison or intoxicate their enemies, instead relying on sheer strength to win battles.

Etymology

Pterygotus is a genus of sea scorpions that lived in the Devonian Period in the Paleozoic Era which lasted from 416 million to 359 million years ago.

Trivia

It is unknown why that Pteryogtus's remake sprite is red instead of the artwork's green, but it is possible that ArtePiazza simply recycled the Scarlet Scorpion sprite for convenience.
