The Rainbow fan is a recurring weapon in the series, flailing foes with a flurry of fanciful feathers.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 3DS

The fan can be bought in both versions of Empycchu for 7,600 gold, and can also be created by mixing an Iron fan with a Hermes' hat. It increases Red's attack by +60 and has a 1/6th chance to blind foes.
