Rebirth stone
The Rebirth stone was an item introduced in Dragon Quest II. In Dragon Quest II, they are rare drops by Liquid Metal Slimes, and can be used to save your game on the spot anywhere on the map (outside of battle) without having to visit a king or priest. In Dragon Quest V, they are held items that, so long as they are in a character's inventory, will immediately revive them upon defeat - however, it will only serve its purpose once.

The stone is dropped from the King cureslime in the Stairway to Zenithia at 1/128.
