The Rhinothrope is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest IV. It is an axe-wielding rhinoceros warrior that dons blue armor in battle. Its name is a combination of the words "rhino" and "anthrope", which means human in Latin.
Characteristics
Rhinothropes, naturally, are anthropomorphic rhinoceroses whose weapon of choice is a large, two-handed battle axe with a teal axe head. Their armor consists of a blue breastplate with pauldrons attached, a skullcap that lets their ears poke out, a pair of blue trunks, and green gauntlets and boots. Their tough hides and armor make them highly resistant to various types of magic.
