Envenomating Attack
Envenomating Attack is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series. It is an enhanced version of Poison Attack that launches a strike that deals the same amount of damage as a normal attack and has a chance to envenomate a target, dealing a portion of their max HP in damage each turn.

Appearances edit
Dragon Quest IX edit
Envenomating Attack is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Apeckalypses, Sail serpents, and the Ragin' Contagion.
Dragon Quest X edit
Envenomating Attack can be used by Bloodbonnets, Smogbonnets, and Bilebonnets. Instead of dealing a portion of the affected character's max HP each turn, envenomation deals a fixed amount of damage every few seconds.
Dragon Quest XI edit
Envenomating Attack can be used once again by Bloodbonnets and Smogbonnets, as well as Arachtagon (including its malicious form) and Vicious toxic toads. It returns to dealing 1⁄16th of the target's max HP each turn.
