Rennet powder is an item that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest VIII. It is an enzyme used in the Alchemy Pot as an ingredient for cheesemaking.

Rennet powder can be purchased from Ascantha and Argonia after the bazaar starts for 10 gold each and it can be sold for 5 gold. It can also be found in pots in barrels in Ascantha, Pickham, Baccarat, Argonia, Arcadia, and Empycchu, as well as being dropped by Giant moths, Jargons, Devilmoths, Shades, Killer moths, Golems, Dark moths, and Silhouettes. It can be mixed to make two different types of cheese in the Alchemy Pot:
